I’m Mahin Karani.

A Indian creative grown up Dubai, now based in Chicago, working somewhere between a film set and a campaign brief. I’ve been figuring out how to make things since I was a kid, shooting music videos with my cousins in the living room, and that curiosity has never really gone away.
 

The path hasn’t been straight into advertising or film. I taught myself how to edit videos, learned 3D during lockdown just for fun, and eventually ended up at DePaul studying Advertising while minoring in Cinematography after a few people encouraged me to consider switching my major. Every detour turned out to be useful.
 

I still don’t have all the answers, but I’ve gotten very good at asking the right questions.
 

I have big ambitions, and I’m just getting started.
